About Us... The Broom was created during the presidential election of 2004. While volunteering for the Colorado Democratic Party, Chief Software Architect,Anthony Thompson, realized that the Democrats in Colorado lacked effective data and volunteer management tools. Using a personal web server and suffering through many sleepless nights, Anthony developed The Broom to meet the data needs of Colorado Democrats. It was used throughout the campaign for out of state phone banking, data entry and phone bank data management. On a nightly basis, the data collected by volunteers was automatically exported to a master campaign database, and the reports The Broom generated enabled organizers to deploy volunteers where needed. It performed flawlessly and helped Colorado Democrats gain valuable seats in the state legislature and the U.S. House and Senate. |
